The Methow Valley Interpretive Center (MVIC) is honored to partner with the River Warrior Society, Nk'mip Desert Cultural Centre, Wenatchee Valley College at Omak, and the syilx Okanagan Nation Alliance to present a three-night storytelling series with award-winning author and filmmaker Julian Brave NoiseCat.
Join us for a performance of "The Epic Misadventures of the Trickster Coyote," presented directly on the lands of their Creation. Known for his acclaimed book We Survived the Night and his Oscar-nominated documentary Sugarcane, NoiseCat brings warmth, humor, and deep cultural memory to the stage through the timeless stories of Coyote (sen'k'lip).
Admission is by donation at the door for all events. All proceeds directly benefit 2026 regional fire relief efforts supporting local families and lands affected by recent wildfires.
About the Artist
Julian Brave NoiseCat is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, and member of the Canim Lake Band (Tsq'escen') and descendant of the Lil'wat Nation (Lil'wat7úl). He is the author of We Survived the Night and co-director of the Oscar-nominated documentary Sugarcane. His work weaves together Indigenous history, contemporary politics, and the enduring power of oral traditions.
