Welcome to the Methow Valley Interpretive Center

The Methow Valley Interpretive Center is a place to learn, connect, and celebrate the deep history and living culture of the Methow Valley. Our center hosts Last Sunday programs in the summer, field trips, community gatherings, classes, guest speakers, and special events that bring people together in conversation and discovery.

Inside the center, you’ll find exhibits that share the stories of this land and its people:

  • Seasons of the People – The lives of the mətxʷu (Methow) people as they moved with the rhythm of the seasons.

  • Emergence of the Methow – The geologic history of the valley, from tectonic shifts and glaciers to the rocks beneath our feet.

  • River of Life – The Methow River and the interconnected web of life within and beyond its waters.

  • Methow Artifacts – Projectile points, arrowheads, trails, and objects from the valley’s ancient and ongoing story.

Together, these exhibits and programs create a space to honor the past, deepen understanding, and strengthen community ties.
